Who Benefits

As a memorial rodeo and a non-profit with a 501(c)3, donations are based on the proceeds generated by ticket sales, merchandise sales, fundraising events and sponsorships from that years’ rodeo. Each committee members gives recommendations of support within the community of Mountain Home, Elmore County and the State of Idaho.

The Daniel Dopps Memorial rodeo committee is an all-volunteer organization. The Daniel Dopps Memorial Rodeo provides the opportunity for various local school and non-profit groups to raise funds for their organizations through concessions at the rodeo. For some, this event is their largest fundraiser each year.

In 2011, the Daniel Dopps Memorial Rodeo Committee formed a sub-committee to oversee the Daniel Dopps Memorial scholarship program. The scholarship winner will be determined by committee and then contacted directly and announced.
